Also, Amanda Barren from Channel 3 News was here today to film Mr. Jimmy Bivins.  The story will air on Wednesday morning between 5:00am and 12:00 noon.  She was unable to give us an exact time but it looks like a very nice story that she did.

 Enjoy!

For Employees of McGregor

We appreciate our employees and everything they do to make McGregor the employer of choice.

This page is designed to give you the information you need to keep up to date on upcoming in-services, meetings mandatory or voluntary, and of course those Holiday Parties.  You will be able to join committees that plan employee events.

Dear Christine
I am writing on behalf of my entire family to thank you and your staff for the loving care and companionship provided to my father on the third floor.  So many caring and considerate people are on staff and all play a part in enriching the lives of the residents.  What a wonderful surprise to come to visit my father to find him listening to a CD that Vivian had played for him.  So thoughtful and so nice for him to be able to listen to beautiful music.  I have rarely encountered a warmer group of people before.  I don't even know the young man's name who helps to serve dinner in the dining room, but I do know that he would always go out of his way to flash a big smile and ask me how I was.  He also came to me to give me a hug of condolence.  What a gem of a person.
With Dad's main nursing staff ( Sara, nancy, Shirley, Charlotte, Brenda, Barbara and others who I do not mention or do not even know) I was always confident that he had true professionals watching over him.  I know they could outshine me in taking care of him.  As I stated before, clearly Brenda had charms that I don't have when it came to getting Dad to eat!
I must also express my gratitude to Neglia for all the affection and guidance that she was able to provide to me and Dad.  She is a gem.  A real friend and advocate.  Her visit to Dad's room with me on the Friday before his death was a total joy to him.  He thought he had a couple of real dolls holding his hand, and in the case of neglia he was right.
Lastly, I need to thank you for once again, being a great source of guidance to me in my efforts to make decisions regarding an aging parent and for the apt management you do of the third floor.  The accolades I have given above can be gathered by you as the team leader.  It is your capable leadership that is reflected in excellent care provided to the residents.  Thank you for your many kindnesses and your patience.
As Nancy teased me that my car will automatically go to McGregor as I leave work, i suspect you might find me there as a volunteer before too long.  It is a place that is clearly in my heart.
With Deep Gratitude,
Dulcie A. Devitt
