Why Volunteer?
Why do people volunteer? You’d think it’s just a waste of time, but, believe it or not, volunteering makes the world go round. Most people volunteer for moral value, self-appreciation, and just the good of the community.
Volunteering at a nursing home, such as McGregor, gives the residents who live there hope in knowing that they haven’t been forgotten. Hope is the best gift you can give to somebody. When you volunteer, you’re already on your way to changing the world.

Volunteers bring helpfulness, hopefulness and lots of heart to our residents. Whether you are changing nail polish or visiting with a resident, we promise that you will take home more than you have given.
Volunteers love coming to McGregor to help residents in our beautiful setting. We show our appreciation all throughout the year with mementos of how much you mean to our residents and staff.
Every April volunteers are invited to our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon so that we can recognize all the wonderful people who give of themselves throughout the year. We are an RSVP station.
